This position is responsible for setting international business area strategy, creating a business plan, tracking against this plan, and delivering business results. This person needs to be capable of providing high-level technical consulting and advisory services. Approximately 50% of this role’s activities are spent on business development and 50% working and consulting on those projects. The activities will be a combination of domestic and international based business development and consulting work, depending on market demands.
Perform wide area protection coordination analysis using CAPE software and analyzing the coordination and sensitivity of protective relays in transmission lines which has different types of relays from Schweitzer, ABB, GE (General electric), Siemens, Alstom, etc. Evaluate NERC (North American Electric Reliability Corporation) PRC-023 and PRC-027 for different utilities in US. Application of principles and techniques of electric power systems engineering, review of technical documents and manuals, modeling simulation and analysis of protection.
