POSITION OVERVIEW The Investment Planning Management Services Advisor is responsible for leading efforts to improve operational and project delivery processes managed by utility industry clients. They will leverage process development techniques and analytical tools to organize and plan complex projects while supporting implementation and communication. The Investment Planning Management Services Advisor must be able to understand complex industry and technical challenges to develop and lead solutions at the tactical level. POSITION OVERVIEW This position will lead a technical team that builds models, performs system studies, and verifies design with the use of hardware-in-the-loop testing of P&C systems in the laboratory environment for distributed energy solutions and microgrids. The successful candidate will be accountable for conceptual and primary design, modeling, analysis, and laboratory testing of Distributed Energy Systems including microgrids, energy storage-based systems for non-wire alternatives, captive power plants, and grid automation applications. The candidate should have 10+ years of experience and in-depth knowledge of Protection and Control (P&C) systems, distributed control systems, distribution automation, and system interconnections in the areas of renewable energy systems and microgrids. The position requires verifying the results of system analysis and evaluating the design based on studies. Project Management capabilities PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE Degree in Engineering or another relevant technical field Advanced Degree in Engineering or another relevant technical field preferred Experience in energy efficiency, demand response, and/or distribution automation LOCATION Quanta Technology has offices in Raleigh, NC, Markham, ON, Lombard, IL, and San Clemente, CA.
