SKILLS & SOFTWARE Familiarity with power system models and tools such as PLEXOS, GridView, PROMOD, Aurora, PSS/E, PSLF, PowerWorld, TARA, Aspen, PSCAD, and/or MATLAB RTO/ISO market pricing structures and processes Proficiency in Excel Excellent communication, presentation, reporting, teamwork, and facilitation skills Aptitude for critical and analytical thinking as well as the capacity to accept out-of-the-box solutions. Strong teamwork, interpersonal skills, and the ability to communicate with clients at engineering and management levels. Ability and interest to learn new skills on the job. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE Experience in a professional consulting or electric utility environment 4 years of conducting technical studies including resource planning, transmission planning, and generation interconnection with ISO, Utilities, or consulting firms. Experience and proficiency in regulatory requirements and compliance methodologies for NERC standards including TPL, MOD, and CIP. WORKING CONDITIONS Working conditions are normal for a professional office environment. Work may require overnight national and international travel.
