Scott Hammond Chief Financial Officer
Scott Hammond is the Chief Financial Officer, and finance leader with over 30 years of experience, primarily with Genworth Financial and the General Electric Company. Scott came to Quanta Technology in mid-2022 from a start-up business with a unique service offering—installing beehives on corporate campuses. While there, Scott was the Vice President of Finance and Operations and saw the business add over 20 new partners. At Genworth Financial, he held several finance roles, the most recent being the senior director of finance for the company’s International Mortgage Insurance Division. In that role, Scott oversaw the finance function for franchises in Canada, Australia, Europe, Mexico, and Asia, with combined assets above $5 billion. He steered those franchises through the global financial crisis of 2008–2010 and the more recent pandemic. He completed numerous transactions: initiating the division’s first third-party reinsurance program, creating a Joint Venture, and delivering significant amounts of capital to the parent company via dividends, share buybacks, and asset sale transactions. Scott also served as controller of its Canadian office and then led the North American Financial Planning Analysis team for GE Capital Fleet Services. He was responsible for preparing the annual business operating plans and worked closely with the commercial teams on pricing proposals and strategy.
