Dan Brancaccio has over 30 years of experience in systems engineering and integration, development, developer management, and project management. He has developed large-scale, mission-critical, enterprise applications for energy utilities and corporate clients. He developed a pilot project for SCE in 2000 for transformer health, which used dissolved gas analysis, transformer loading data, ambient temperature, top oil temperature, and tap change counts from archived SCADA data. The analysis also included non-operational data collected from relays during breaker operation to track through fault energy loads on the transformer. Mr. Brancaccio was also the lead technical architect to the Western Interconnection Synchrophasor Program (WISP) in all aspects of technical delivery from phasor measurement device, through high availability wide area network, data integration, archiving, visualization and analysis.
