Western Protective Relay Conference
A number of Quanta Technology protection experts will be attending the Western Protective Relay Conference in Spokane, WA next week from Monday, October 15th to Thursday 18th. We invite all attending to visit our booth where we will be giving demonstrations of some of our latest capabilities in power system protection.
The NERC Protection and Control (PRC) Reliability Standards are a set of mandatory regulations that define minimum requirements governing protection and control schemes associated with the Bulk Electric System (BES). These standards typically require extensive review of protection and control schemes, requiring substantial consideration for workflow management and data processing, in addition to the technical engineering effort. Complying with the NERC PRC Standards can pose significant challenges to utilities and other applicable entities, particularly in process and data management aspects.
We will be demonstrating a number of solutions that address these challenges including:
- Automated Data Import (ADI) of protection data from setting repositories using QT-PDMTM
- PRC-023 Compliance Evaluation using QT-PDMTM
- Capabilities of QT-PSATM to support Wide Area Protection Coordination Studies for PRC-027 Compliance
Brochures for these solutions, along with all of our other protection services can be found on our Protection & Controls page.
Sam Alaeddini will be presenting “Utilizing ASPEN OneLiner to prepare PRC-027 base case” at the ASPEN Users Group Meeting being held on the day before the Western Protective Relay Conference.
