Quanta Technology LLC seeks Senior Advisor (Raleigh, NC) Duties: Renewable energy planning in distribution and transmission networks in the U.S. Responsible for securing and leading technical projects focused on grid modernization, distributed energy resources (DER), capacity planning, load forecasting, operation and strategies for improving distribution system reliability. Work across all business areas keeping abreast of emerging trends, requirements, and issues related to all aspects of distribution power delivery infrastructure. Lead projects with clients and manage the resources, costs, and schedule while delivering a high quality product to clients. Lead and review the work of junior, senior engineers and students, providing trainings and proposals for complex studies.
Required: Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering or related field plus 10 years of experience in the job offered or as Power Systems Engineer or related position. Must have 5 years of experience working with a distribution software provider. Must have 4 years of experience performing modeling and/or studies in the areas of: Harmonics, Renewable Energy and System Impact of Distribution Generators, Network Diagnostics, Insulation Coordination for Capacitor Banks and Lightning, Protection of Distribution Network, Motor Starting, Stability in Power Systems, Voltage Regulation, Ferro-resonance, Capacitor Banks, Feeders Automation, Distribution Network Optimization, Transient Analysis, Validation of Distribution Software, TRV & TOV, Technical Customer Support, and Power flow software related tool CYME.
