POSITION OVERVIEW

The Project Manager will oversee the entire project life cycle from initiation to closure, playing a critical role in ensuring successful project delivery. You will develop clear plans, allocate resources efficiently, manage project budgets and ensure compliance with regulatory and contractual obligations. Leading project teams, you will prioritize clear communication with stakeholders, deliver reports and oversee the comprehensive close-out of projects. Your leadership and strategic oversight will be instrumental in achieving project goals.

You will be part of Quanta Technology’s Strategy and Program Management team within Grid Architecture, dedicated to managing the full spectrum of organizational dynamics, from strategy to portfolio and program management to business process optimization. Our team comprises seasoned experts and young talents with extensive experience and fresh perspectives in the utility and energy industries. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop project charters and coordinate kick-off meetings with stakeholders.
  • Lead the development of comprehensive Project Execution Plans, defining project objectives, scope, deliverables, and timelines.
  • Support and lead the creation of detailed Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and schedules to effectively manage project tasks and milestones.
  • Manage project budget, forecasts, scheduling, identifying risks and opportunities.
  • Ensure project compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements, supported by internal resources.
  • Lead project teams, external subcontractors, and clients, ensuring clear communication with all stakeholders.
  • Deliver weekly/monthly project status reports, reflecting performance indicators, project success factors, risks, and changes.
  • Manage project change and maintain control of project documentation.
  • Manage project close-out, including final acceptance of deliverables, transfer of ownership, and final project report.

Travel

Up to 25% depending on project and client needs.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • B.S. in Engineering, Business Management, or equivalent field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of work experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated project management experience within the electric utility industry.
    • Construction, EPC, Asset Management, IT/OT experience.
  • PMP or equivalent certification is a plus.

SKILLS

  • Excellent interpersonal, leadership and communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability
  • Experienced in using commonly used project management tools (MS Project, Primavera)
  • Experienced in Analytical cost management/cost control.
  • Demonstrated experience working in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment with tight deadlines and ability to adjust to project priorities and demands of multiple clients.
  • Proven aptitude and demonstrated experience in complex projects and program management.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Advanced degree in Business, Engineering, or equivalent field
  • 8 years of project management experience within the electric utility industry
  • Experience with Six Sigma methodology or similar

SKILLS

  • Agile knowledge and experience

LOCATION

We offer remote and hybrid employment that supports a blend of in-office and remote work.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Work may require overnight national and international travel. The schedule may include evenings and weekends as necessary.
