Quanta Technology Sponsors CIGRE 2016 International Colloquium

Quanta Technology is proud to become a Bronze sponsor of the CIGRE USNC 2016 International Colloquium.

The International Colloquium will be hosted by the CIGRÉ (The Council on Large Electric Systems) US National Committee and the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI) on  November 2-3, 2016 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

The Colloquium will immediately follow the CIGRE US National Committee Grid of the Future Symposium (GOTF), which will be on October 30 – November 1, 2016 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

The Colloquium is a new event, international in focus, with the scope of four CIGRE Study Committees (SCs): SC A1 (Rotating Electrical Machines), SC C1 (System Development and Economics), SC C5 (Electricity Markets and Regulation), and SC C6 (Distribution Systems and Dispersed Generation). The Colloquium includes four 1-hour tutorials, six panel sessions, and 19 papers presented in six sessions. CIGRE leadership (Rob Stephen – President, Mark Waldron – Technical Council Chairman, and the four SC Conveners) plan to participate.

CIGRE counts more than 3 500 experts from all around the world working actively together in structured work programmes coordinated by the CIGRE 16 Study Committees, overseen by the Technical Council. Their main objectives are to design and deploy the Power System for the future, optimize existing equipment and power systems, respect the environment and facilitate access to information.
